Design Story

At distance, the composition resolves into two shapes: a deep red apple form rendered as a house, and the word HAPPY set inside it in soft white hand-drawn lettering. The pale yellow mug body acts as open ground, letting that single red block carry all the visual weight. Nearer, supporting motifs appear at a deliberately smaller scale — a whole apple, a halved apple showing its seeds, sprigs, leaves and a tiny figure standing beside the wall. A small arched window and a heart-shaped mark break the red mass, softening it. The red lid, with its raised-looking stem knob and glossy, sculpted-looking dome, repeats the apple silhouette above the rim, so the object and its illustration echo one another.

Use & Styling

The motif sits centred on the visible front of the mug body, large enough to read across a table, while the scattered fruit and foliage thin out as they travel toward the handle-side boundary. Generous negative space above and below keeps the graphic from crowding the rim or base, and the yellow-and-red contrast makes it a calm tabletop or open-shelf accent.
