Design Story

At distance the eye catches the arched type: GOD FORBID WOMEN HAVE HOBBIES, curved across the top and anchored again along the lower edge. Inside that frame, four witches in pointed hats circle hand in hand, skirts swinging with the movement of the dance. A thin crescent moon and scattered star marks sit above them, ringed by an oval of bare branches and small leaves that closes the composition. Up close the etching-style hatching, grass strokes and delicate branch tips read like an old engraved plate — warm ivory against deep black, no second colour needed.

Use & Styling

The circular motif locks into the front-facing focal area, with the arched typography following the rim and base lines rather than fighting them. Branch tips fade before the handle-side boundary, so the visible-side composition stays self-contained and balanced. Negative black space around the ring keeps it graphic on an open shelf or a dark tabletop.
