Design Story

At distance the mug reads as stacked lettering — SPOOKY in black outline, BOOK in solid orange, CLUB anchoring the base of the block. That three-line typographic column is the visual anchor. Around it, supporting motifs orbit in a scattered sticker rhythm: open books with crescent moons on their pages, a small ghost reading, a HAUNTED BOOKSTORE signpost, a jar marked DUSTY BOOKS, oak leaves, stars, a spiderweb, a striped bow. The palette holds to cream ground, black linework and a single burnt-orange accent, which keeps a busy composition from turning noisy. Up close, every element carries a soft raised-looking outline and a dropped shadow, giving the surface a sculpted-looking, hand-drawn dimension.

Use & Styling

The lettering sits centred on the front-facing focal area, with the motif field wrapping outward and thinning as it approaches the handle-side boundary, so the black handle closes the composition instead of cutting it.
