Design Story

At distance the amber moon does all the work, a warm circle set against a deep black body with maximum tonal contrast. Inside it, a witch silhouette leans forward on her broom, hair and cloak drawn out in long tapering lines, three small bats scattered above her. The script name Olivia sits in the upper right of the moon, kept small so it reads as a signature rather than a headline. Below, a black pine treeline anchors the composition, while sprays of maple leaves in rust, orange and ember climb both sides in a curved frame, thinning as they approach the handle-side boundary.

Use & Styling

The motif is centred on the front-facing focal area and scaled to sit between rim and base without crowding either. The leaf frame gives the visible-side composition its rhythm, opening at the top and closing near the feet of the rounded, cauldron-like silhouette. Black negative space carries the rest, so the mug reads as one graphic object on a shelf or table.
