Design Story

From across the room you read two things: the deep black body and the warm orange glow of the jack-o'-lantern grin sitting dead center. Step closer and the supporting cast appears — a tall, curling witch hat with a buckled band, green vines twisting outward like a hand-inked frame, maple leaves in rust and gold, a slim crescent moon, scattered star sparks, and two small bats drifting toward the upper right. The illustration fans wide across the visible side and thins out as it approaches the handle-side boundary, so the pattern breathes instead of crowding. Fine linework in the vines and the carved ridges of the pumpkin keeps the close-up read as interesting as the distance read.

Use & Styling

The rounded body gives the artwork a natural curve to sit on, with the grin anchored at the widest point of the front-facing focal area. Dark negative space above the moon and below the vines keeps the composition from collapsing. On a shelf or a tabletop, the sculpted-looking footed silhouette does half the styling work for you.
