Design Story

The composition reads as stitched patchwork: torn-edge panels in ivory, forest green and faded red, separated by pale seam-like borders. At distance the eye lands on the decorated tree with its gold star and stacked gift boxes on the green panel, then travels left to the top-hatted snowman in a tartan scarf and the pair of golden deer resting on white. Supporting motifs fill the gaps with restraint — gold snowflakes, small stars, holly sprigs, a red-and-white candy cane on the right panel where the artwork runs toward the handle-side boundary. The palette stays disciplined: warm neutrals carrying the field, red and green as accents, gold as the highlight tone. Raised-looking texture and fine gold stippling give the panels a low-relief appearance up close.
