Design Story

The first thing you see is the cat: a rounded black silhouette drawn in loose ink strokes, wide pale eyes fixed slightly upward, holding a small grinning jack-o'-lantern against its chest. Around it, a storybook village rises in peach, cream and burnt orange, with pointed spires, tiny lit windows and a bare tree spreading black branches across a blush sky. Hanging lanterns dangle from the limbs like little glowing bells. A single bat cuts the upper left corner. Along the lower edge, an orange hill and a black polka-dotted band close the scene like a printed border. Up close, the fine white scribble lines on the rooftops and the sketchy fur texture reveal how much of this is hand-drawn character rather than flat graphic.

Use & Styling

The composition wraps the mug body as a continuous street scene, with the cat anchoring the front-facing focal area and the village drifting toward the handle-side boundary.
